Westmoreland County sees spike in COVID-19 cases

A spike in coronavirus cases in Westmoreland County has the state advising school districts to go with online learning indefinitely.

Yough schools will switch to remote learning Wednesday. Hempfield, Greensburg Salem, and Mount Pleasant have yet to decide.

The Department of Health reports 125 new cases in Westmoreland County since the weekend and 20 deaths in the last 12 days.
