Being a mom on the go can be stressful, but sometimes there are people in the world that help ease that stress with a small act of kindness.
On her way home from football practice with her three kids one night in late September, Brittany Reed stopped to grab dinner for her family at her local McDonald's in Waynesville, Ohio.
When she got to the drive-thru window to pay, she realized that she had forgotten her purse at home.
That's when a McDonald's employee named Wyatt Jones came to her rescue. Before she could object, Wyatt had pulled out his own wallet and paid for the family's meals.
Reed posted a photo on Facebook of the young man working the drive-thru that night and wrote about the story.
She wrote, "I just want his parents to know how KIND & COMPASSIONATE your son was tonight! He made this stressed out momma pause for a moment and realize this is exactly what we parents are trying to do, raise great humans. Well Wyatt sir, you are an amazing human!!!"
"I went back and handed him cash and had to make him take it because he didn’t want to take more than he had paid but I wanted him to know that when you put good out in the world it comes back to you ten fold !"
She later updated the post saying that her and her husband created a GoFundMe page for Wyatt.
As of Friday, more than $46,000 had been raised.
