Art Rooney, Steelers thankful for frontline workers and fans

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) — Since it's built right into the name, Thanksgiving has become an appropriate time to give thanks for the people, places, and things that one's grateful for.

And in a Thanksgiving Day statement, Steelers president Art Rooney II has done just that.

Speaking for the organization as whole, Rooney first showed gratitude for the frontline workers that have acted relentlessly during the pandemic.

Rooney didn’t stop there, though.

A big thanks also went straight to Steelers Nation, specifically for their support during a trying season.

Rooney’s statement in full reads as followed:

“Though we are disappointed that we will not get to play for our fans on Thanksgiving night this year, we look forward to many more exciting times during the 2020 season. Today gives us all a time to reflect and appreciate what we can be thankful for on this holiday. And I want to add a special note of thanks to all our frontline workers for all your tireless efforts in these difficult times. On behalf of the entire Steelers organization, I want to thank Steelers Nation for all your support during this unusual season and wish you and your families a safe and happy Thanksgiving!”
