A group of parents say UTLA and LAUSD are dragging their feet, when it comes to reopening schools.

Monday, the parents took to the streets. Protesting at Wilshire and Veteran.

KNX reporter Craig Fiegener was at the protest:

They say just follow the health rules and allow campuses to reopen.

Several parents groups have also organized a Zoom blackout for Monday. All this while teachers say they don’t feel comfortable returning to schools until they can be vaccinated.

In the Santa Clarita-area, 1st and 2nd-graders were back in the classroom Monday.

The CDC has said schools can open, for younger students— so too has LA County Health. Despite that LAUSD campuses remain shut and many parents are angry.
