Sammy Hagar and the Circle will tour the U.S. this summer with special guests Whitesnake and Night Ranger. The 30-date tour will kick off July 9 in West Palm Beach, FL, making stops in Charlotte, Cincinnati, Dallas, Phoenix and more, before wrapping up in Chula Vista, CA on September 20.
“I love some friendly competition onstage, and that’s exactly what this is going to be,” Hagar said in a press release announcing the tour. “David [Coverdale (Whitesnake)] and I have nothing but the highest respect for one another, but we would also like to blow the other guy off the stage! Add in Night Ranger and the fans will have one hell of a night of music.”
The trek is the latest of a number of summer tours to be announced over the past few weeks; also hitting the road this summer are James Taylor with Jackson Browne, Bon Jovi with Bryan Adams, Steely Dan with Steve Winwood, Foreigner with Kansas and Europe, Rod Stewart with Cheap Trick, Roger Waters and more.
