Streaming For Change : The Vera Project & Artist Home Join Forces For Unique DIY Benefit Event

By 99.9 KISW

The Vera Project is teaming up with Artist Home for a unique and awesome live streaming event this Friday (April 24th) called “Live From Our Living Rooms: A Virtual Benefit for Washington’s DIY Community.”

Picture the coolest telethon event ever with a panel of excellent musicians and comedians sharing mini sets, virtual workshops and guest speakers where all the money goes to helping out the many DIY music and community spaces within the Pacific Northwest.

From the Vera Project website

“100% of proceeds will go toward sustaining young people and community centers disproportionately impacted by COVID-19, with a special focus on those that do not qualify for formal means of institutional support.
In solidarity with our coalition of 25+ Pacific Northwest DIY spaces, we hope to raise at least $25,000 to keep community-driven music and art alive in the Pacific Northwest."

The event will be broadcast live on Vera Project & Artist Home social media pages from 7-10 pm PST this Friday night. Links to YouTube, Instagram and Facebook will be provided beforehand.
