Train of thought. Ever try to reconstruct the string of thoughts that got you to whatever you're thinking about now? Me neither...but today I had to try to figure out how we got into a discussion about mascots.
This is how it happened: we mentioned that Duff McKagan was joining us on the show. He's promoting a new album that he recorded with Shooter Jennings. We made mention that the names 'Duff' and 'Shooter' sound like the names you give happy dogs that ride in Jeeps. Also, we figured you're more likely meet dogs with those names than a person. This is not an insult, of course, just a comfortable observation.
We collectively searched our brains to see if any of us knew a human with the name Duff or the name Scooter. Ted came up with Shooter...the mascot from some small college in Poughkipsie, NY. (f**k you 'spell check'...I'm not trying to spell 'Poughkipsie again).
That's what led us into an in-depth discussion about mascots. Do the humans inside of a mascot costume tell people they are a mascot or is it all hush- hush? Bruce Wayne doesn't tell people he's Bat Man, so does the San Diego Chicken brag about his gig?
None of this is important.
Until tomorrow, do what you do best and STAY BEAUTIFUL!
