If you're looking to get rid of your old Christmas tree, we've already established that burning it in your fireplace is not a good idea. So why not drop it off at Bonton Farms in Dallas?

Donated trees have two purposes at Bonton Farms. First, the green needles feed the goats living on the farm, which helps them produce more milk. And as for the trunks, they will be shaved down and made into canes for disabled veterans.

Curtis Anderson of Bonton Farms said, "I think it's a beautiful thing, but then it's, like, kind of patriotic for us to be thinking about something that would go to the landfills. There are wasteful things that are going on in the world, but right here, I call this a little sanctuary."
