The UK is currently under a lockdown due to a spread of the Coronavirus, and one tequila bar under is doing his best to try and skirt the country's current regulations.

34-year-old James Aspell, owner of 400 Rabbits Tequila and Mezcal Cocktail Bar in Nottingham, recently sent in an application to officially change his bar into a house of worship, under the new name Church of the Four Hundred Rabbits.

Aspell wrote on Facebook, "With places of worship allowed to open in all tiers we thought f–k it let’s start a religion! Can’t be that hard can it! Congregation daily till late."

Aspell admitted that his attempts to convert his bar into a house of worship is "tongue-in-cheek but it's come from a serious place. We've decided to have a bit of fun with it but the main reason is to shine a light on the ridiculousness of the rules themselves."
