Hoda Kotb had an extra special reason to celebrate on Valentine’s Day.
The 55-year-old was overflowing with love as her eldest child, Haley Joy, turned three on Friday.
“I believe in miracles. My first one happened 3 years ago,” the “Today” show host captioned a trio of photos showcasing her daughter through the years.
“My only request…is for you Father Time,” she added. “Pls slow down.”
The snaps started with one of Kotb holding a newborn Haley Joy, followed by a pic from the baby’s first birthday beside a birthday cake. The third was an image from Haley’s second birthday and included both Kotb and fiancé Joel Schiffman proudly celebrating their daughter.
Kotb also disclosed how Haley, whom she adopted in 2017, actually gets to celebrate two birthdays every year.
“The day she was born and the day she was born to us,” she explained to co-host Jenna Bush Hager. “The day she was born to us is Valentine’s Day.”
Prior to Haley Joy’s arrival, Kotb had an interesting history with February 14th having to do with her ex-husband Burzis Kanga.
“I actually met my first husband at a single’s event on Valentine’s Day and to make matters a little more funky, my divorce papers came in the mail on Valentine’s Day,” she confessed. “I’m not kidding. Those two things happened.”
The former couple divorced in 2008.
In 2013, Kotb began dating Schiffman and six years later she announced their engagement in November 2019.
In addition to Haley Joy, the news anchor is also mother to daughter Hope Catherine, whom she adopted in April 2019.
As far as having more children in the future, Kotb revealed she and Schiffman are considering adding a third to their brood.
"I'm not 100 percent sure. I'm like a sign person, I always look for signs,” she told Ellen DeGeneres, before adding, "I think we're thinking about it."
