Is there anything Robert Pattinson can’t do?
The star took his own cover photo for a GQ cover story while isolating in London after social distancing guidelines in the city made it impossible to have a traditional photoshoot.
The cover photo depicts Pattinson stoically staring into the lens with the camera strap wrapped around his neck.
The pic was one of several in a series Pattinson took for the story.
Another image shows Pattinson sitting in the corner of his room donning a striped red coat, shirt and pants by designer Craig Green and an ornate pair of tan Dior boots, surrounded by an empty cereal bowl, a box of Special K and a bottle of HP brown sauce.
In the story, which was culled from interviews taken over FaceTime, Pattinson talked about playing Batman and how he’s taken a break from working out during quarantine.
“I think if you’re working out all the time, you’re part of the problem,” the “Twilight” star told the outlet. “You set a precedent. No one was doing this in the ’70s. Even James Dean—he wasn’t exactly ripped.”
Pattinson also talked about a new pasta-making technique he discovered online during quarantine downtime.
“Yesterday I was just googling, I was going on YouTube to see how to microwave pasta,” the star told GQ.
“Put it in a bowl and microwave it. That is how to microwave pasta,” he clarified. “And also it really, really isn’t a thing. It’s really actually quite revolting. But I mean, who would have thought that it actually makes it taste disgusting?”
The GQ tidbits weren’t Pattinson’s first eccentric interview responses. In February, the actor told Allure that “lots of people tell me I smell like crayons.”
Earlier that month, Pattinson was dubbed the “most handsome man in the world” according to The Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi, a mathematical formula established by the ancient Greeks that assesses facial symmetry. The actor received a score of 92.15%, ranking him the closest to perfection at the top of a list compiled by cosmetic surgeon Dr. Julian De Silva, who runs the Centre For Advanced Facial Cosmetic And Plastic Surgery in London.
