Kansas City, MO - The KCPD said Wednesday morning that two of its department members have tested positive for COVID-19.

A department spokesperson said the department has enacted procedures to slow the spread of the coronavirus, including quarantining department members who have had direct contact with the individuals involved.

"The members are home and we look forward to their return to work once the virus runs its course," the department said in a statement.

The department also said 16 members of the department are now in quarantine, but "that could change at any time."
