ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Two westbound I-255 lanes of Jefferson Barracks bridge will reopen by 5 a.m. Friday, May 17.

The bridge had previously closed for repairs, but the Missouri Department of Transportation has since deemed the bridge safe to travel on while it is repaired, according to a news release.

MoDOT predicts being able to keep two westbound lanes open between 5 and 10 a.m. weekdays, with at least one lane open as construction continues.

Oversized and overweight loads, however, will remain restricted from using the bridge until repairs are done.

Repairs are weather dependent and wet conditions may affect the schedule at which they are complete.
