BJC HealthCare to give cash gift to all employees for ‘commitment, dedication’ amid pandemic


ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - One of the largest health care provides in the US is saying thanks to its employees with some green.

BJC HealthCare, which serves the greater St. Louis area, mid-Missouri and Southern Illinois announced they'll be giving all employees a cash gift in their Dec. 11 paychecks.

Calling it, "Our BJC HealthCare Heroes Thank You Gift" a letter to colleagues, explained that all full-time and part-time employees employed prior to September 1 of this year will receive $750, those who started working after that date will get $350 and those who have worked at least 40 hours for the company since then will also get $350.

In thanking the employees for their work, BJC President and CEO Rich Liekweg said "it has certainly been a year like no other and while we know there is still a way to go we are hopeful that in the coming months we will begin to see progress as we combat this pandemic."
