Nelly announces new documentary coming soon based on his hit album 'Country Grammar'

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - It's been just over 20 years since St. Louis-born rapper Nelly, released his most popular album, "Country Grammar." And soon we'll get to know the stories behind his hit songs on that album, such as "E.I.," "Ride Wit Me," and "Country Grammar."

The 46-year-old announced on Facebook Tuesday that a documentary is "coming soon" based on the making of his album released in June of 2000.

The album sat on the U.S. Billboard top-200 chart for five weeks in a row.

The announcement comes right after the hip hop star finished in third on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."
