We found out how much the city will pay to improve traffic signals, sidewalks and railroad crossings in 2020.

The city's Traffic Signalization Program will be used to design and construct traffic signals at 37th Street North and Tyler Road, around the 3500 Block of North Rock Road, and I-235 and West Street. The total budget is slated at $525,000.

Meanwhile, the city’s sidewalk maintenance program will have a budget of $500,000, while $150,000 in funding will go to improve some of the city's worst railroad crossings. According to city staff, there are a total of 185 crossings within the city limits.
