The 2021 Rose Parade has officially been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Planning is still continuing for the Rose Bowl Game but it's still uncertain if it will happen.
The Rose Parade is usually on New Year's Day every year. A press release from the Pasadena Tournament of Roses says, "Enjoyed by millions around the world, the Rose Parade is held each January 1 in celebration of the New Year. Since its inception in 1891, the Parade has not occurred only three times – the wartime years of 1942, 1943 and 1945."
On the Twitter page for the Rose Parade wrote "With tremendous disappointment, we are unable to host the 2021 #RoseParade. We will miss the joy of coming together for the Rose Parade, but will not miss this opportunity to celebrate a New Year & healthy new beginnings on January 1."
