And of course to explore the diverse variety of Mexico's regional spirits, we'll need to complete the journey with the many cuisines of Mexico! There's no better place to launch this event in the U.S. than Los Angeles, where we'll pull on the culinary and creative talent of chefs and artists from different Mexican states. We'll have delicious bites from local chefs, cocktails from local bartenders, encounters with incredible personalities in the spirits world, a tiendita, and much more.
What began as a tribute to mezcal, the embodiment of Mexico, Mexico in a Bottle has evolved to showcase the growing craft beverage scene in Mexico. No longer just an agave driven movement, we now see rum, whiskey, and of course wine making its way to shelves here in the United States. The story of mezcal and these other elixirs isn’t just about alcohol, each bottle contains a piece of Mexican culture, and is a living link to history, tradition, art, and music - life and death all in a bottle.
