He decided to self quarantine in Washington, D.C., on Friday March 13 and not return to Florida, according to a press release on his Twitter page. His wife had pre-existing conditions that would make her high risk to get the virus. He began showing symptoms on Saturday with a fever and a headache.

The death toll from the virus has surpassed 100 people in the United States.
