LAUSD Teacher Arrested in Hit-and-Run of Homeless Cyclist in Silver Lake

Authorities have arrested a 52-year-old Los Angeles Unified School District teacher in connection with an alleged hit-and-run of a cyclist in Silver Lake.

Members of the LA Police Department's Gang and Narcotics Division served a warrant to Molly Hoene, at her home in a gated community in Palm Desert on a felony hit-and-run charge. 

Hoene's bail was set at $50,000. 

Surveillance video was released at the time of the crash on October 25. The crash involved a 57-year-old homeless man, who was hit allegedly by Hoene's blue Mini Cooper.
