Malibu is going to offer free drive-through COVID-19 testing to first responders, essential workers and the public for the next few days.
The city is partnering with a global nonprofit founded by a celebrity, and other medical providers, to do free drive through testing for first responders, essential workers and greater Malibu residents through Saturday.
The nonprofit the city is partnering with is Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE), a global non-profit organization founded by actor, activist and philanthropist Sean Penn, according to a press release from the city of Malibu.
The testing service is carried out by COVID Clinic, a local partner organization of CORE. The tests will using an FDA approved nasal swab and results will be available after two days, according to the press release.
Now, starting today through Saturday, April 11 at Malibu City Hall the greater Malibu public can go through the free drive-through testing. Phase 2 will be Wednesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the greater Malibu public for those who are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.
