One of LA's biggest New Year's Eve parties is getting even bigger.
The annual Grand Park + The Music Center's NYE LA celebration is expanding to seven city blocks.
"We have stretched another block west taking over the Music Center Plaza so that is open, and active with music and food with food and it's also a great viewing spot. We are also stretching south down to Third and Broadway so the physical footprint of the space is larger and can accommodate those who want to ring in the new decade," Julia Diamond, director of Grand Park, said.
"We just keep seeing the event growing. Every year, the audience tick up and up. We are hearing from people they are making this a tradition with their family and friends. We are trying to stay one step ahead of the curve and make sure we got the room for everyone," she said.
More than 50,000 people are expected to attend the downtown LA party.
There will be all kinds of music from banda to reggaetton.
Among the artists performing the Pan Afrikan Peoples Arkestra, or Ark.
The party starts at 8 p.m. Tuesday night and goes until 1 in the morning.
