According to the San Francisco Chronicle, in an alert from Southern California Edison, to the California Power Utility Commission (CPUC), it was SoCal equipment that may have sparked the Easy Fire, currently raging in Simi Valley.

The "Easy Fire" has burned more than 1,400 acres and nearly threatened the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

“SCE informed there was circuit activity on the Moorpark-Royal 66 kV circuit close in time to the report of the fire,” SoCal Edison reported.
