Forward Progress of 'Texas Fire' Stopped at 150 Acres

Forward progress of the Texas Fire was stepped at 150 acres Thursday, according to the Angeles National Forest Twitter.

According to Angeles National Forest on Twitter late Thursday afternoon "The forward rate of spread on the #TexasFire has stopped at 150 acres. An aggressive and decisive ground and air attack has grown the containment to 10% and allowed us and @LACoFDPIO to get the upper hand on this fire."

The Texas Fire had grown to 130 acres and 5 percent containment in Bouquet Canyon near Texas Canyon, according to Angeles National Forest on Twitter earlier on Thursday.

Structures are threatened in the area.

Angeles National Forest on Twitter said "Fast-moving brush fire vic Bouquet Canyon now 130 acres. 5% containment. 3 airtankers with 5 helicopters in the attack. Road closures between Bouquet Cyn Rd and Vasquez Cyn Rd to Spunky Cyn. No structures lost at this time. Approx 115 firefighters on scene."

According to LA County Fire Department on Twitter, "**UPDATE** Fire stands at approx 100 acres."

Meanwhile, Los Angeles County Fire Department Air Operations Section on Twitter said "@LACoFireAirOps water dropping helicopters assisting @Angeles_NF @LACoFD with a wildfire in Bouquet Canyon near Texas Canyon. #TexasFire."
