(KNX 1070) - The co-owner of a liquor store in Downey, who was shot and killed by a suspected gunman last week, was remembered Sunday night by friends and family at his funeral in Hollywood.

On Thursday, the police released surveillance video of a gunman during a possible attempted robbery.

The attempted robbery was at the ASL Liquor in Downey.

Then Friday night, a suspect led police through a car chase that started in Downey and ended in a shootout in Vernon.

As of right now, Dylan Lindsey, the suspect from the car chase, is also the man suspected of killing 44-year-old Gurpreet Singh earlier last week.

Singh was a husband, father, a Navy Reservist, generous man who friends say gave of himself freely.

At ASL Liquor in Downey, Singh really liked to get to know each customer.

Some at the funeral noted the senseless violence that took Singh's life.
