UC Riverside Police Make Arrest after Social Media Threat about a Shooting

Campus police at UC Riverside have arrested a person in connection with a social media threat made towards the school. 

It said a shooting would take place today, and the post said the attacker would be the first black school shooter in history.

Authorities were alerted to the threat posted on Snapchat just after midnight.

UCPD has arrested a suspect in connection with a threat made on Snapchat. Classes will continue today as normally scheduled. As investigation continues we will email updates.

An arrest was made a few hours later.
