VIDEO: Governor Gavin Newsom Visits Sacramento College to Highlight Dignity of Work

Quite a photo opportunity for Governor Gavin Newsom as he visited a Sacramento college to highlight what he says is the dignity of work.

He undertook a series of tasks as a custodian and groundskeeper, including replacing lights in a restroom.

The Governor says he went to American River College to publicize his new commission on the future of work.

It will look at how more robots and technology in the workplace will affect millions of employees:

Newsom says among the proposals being considered are portable benefits that would stay with workers who change professions, as well as tax credits for Californians to use on training for new skills.
