DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - DART and Uber are joining forces to help people with limited transportation get to where they need to be.
Starting today, Uber will provide free and discounted rides to people who live and work in areas with limited transit options.
Riders can now order an Uber ride using the DART app to take them to DART stations for only $3.
Mark Ball with DART says it solves one of the biggest problems with public transit, the ride to and from the DART station.
He says the service will be available in six areas to start. The rides will be subsidized by DART.
