Agents with U.S. Customs and Border Protection have seized a shipment of counterfeit basketball shoes worth $4.3 million at DFW International Airport.

The shipment of phony Adidas and Nike shoes included some Air Jordans that would have sold for $2,000 if they had been real.

The shipment was passing through DFW Airport from Hong Kong, on its way to Mexico.

The shipping manifest listed the contents as "Ball Golf". Agents pulled 60 boxes out for inspection and found the counterfeit shoes, including 1,800 pair of Limited Edition "Dior X Air Jordan 1".

"CBP will continue to take every opportunity to intercept illegitimate goods and disrupt transnational criminal enterprises seeking to fund criminal activities with counterfeit or pirated merchandise," said CBP Port Director Timothy Lemaux.
