DALLAS (KRLD) - People quickly responded when they heard about the two million pounds of food that the Houston Food Bank had to dump over contamination issues.

The grocery chain HEB is pitching in big time.

Amy Ragan with the Houston Food Bank says, "They are stepping up to bring truckloads of products to us. It's amazing because they are bringing products that we lost."

She says United Airlines is matching up to $100,000 in donations.

Ragan says, "They are even matching mileage plus customers." But, she says the food bank still needs help.
