After 60 years, the YMCA in Irving is closing for good.

The Irving YMCA is another casualty of the coronavirus pandemic. YMCA executives admit it was a tough decision but say because of the financial hit brought on by the pandemic it didn't make any sense to stay open.

The YMCA still plans to work with the city of Irving to offer youth sports programs like soccer and basketball, and will also work with the city on after school programs.

The YMCA also plans to offer programs like Diabetes Prevention and Get Up And Go, but online.

Officials say if you have a membership, you can use it at any other YMCA in North Texas.
