UPDATE: Tuesday 9/15 11:45 a.m.
Allen Police says Marcus has been found and is safe.
(1080 KRLD) - Allen Police are asking for help finding a child who ran away from his family Tuesday morning.
Marcus Angus, 10, was last seen about 7:10 a.m. Tuesday at his home near Alma and Hedgcoxe Road.
"We've been looking, we've checked all his known friends and associates from school to no avail, so we'd just like some help from the public," says Allen Police Sgt. Jon Felty.
Felty says police have no indication of a kidnapping or abduction. He says Angus' parents took away his electronic devices as discipline, and the boy ran away Tuesday morning.
Felty says Angus' parents had not reported him as a runaway before, and police would like to hear from anyone who sees a boy in Allen or northern Plano without a guardian. Felty says Angus enjoys the area around Suncreek Park, and officers were checking the park late Tuesday morning.
"He's had time, he may have been able to go further. He may be at a business or a store," Felty says.
Angus was wearing a black hoodie with the number 8 printed on it.
