Amarillo, Texas is now under a ‘shelter in place’ order due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The city's mayor says the order goes into effect tonight at 11:59 p.m. It lasts until April 6 at 11:59 p.m.
The city says businesses considered to be non-essential are required to close. Right now, the city says more than 20 people are in quarantine.
