DALLAS (KRLD) - Joshua Zuber with AAA Texas says the statewide gas price average is $2.31 a gallon. He says that's four cents less than this day last week.
Zuber says,"drivers in Odessa are going to be paying the most at $2.57 a gallon. Drivers in McAllen are paying the least at $2.09 a gallon."
He says those filling up in Dallas are paying on average of $2.28 a gallon and that's down six cents from last week.
In Fort Worth, the average gas price is $2.29 a gallon and that's also down 6 cents from last week.
Zuber says, "Texans continue to see savings at the gas pump as prices remain on a downward trend heading into Labor Day weekend. While it's possible some areas may see slight price increases ahead of the holiday weekend, which isn't atypical, any jumps will be short-term."
