A couple of dozen chickens who survived a Fort Worth truck crash last week have now been adopted out.

Friday night, a livestock hauler crashed on I-30, scattering living and dead chickens across the freeway.

Out of 200 to 250 birds, 25 survivors were gathered up and taken to Fort Worth Animal Care and Control where staffers built a temporary coop.

They put the chickens up for adoption and by yesterday, they were all spoken for.
