DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Dallas County Commissioners have postponed their vote on a $2 million contract to fund a Coronavirus field hospital at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.

Last week, in a dust-up between Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins, Jenkins insisted the space might well be needed.

Yesterday, though, Jenkins told the Commissioners Court he has asked hospitals for guidance as to whether they can handle the load of Coronavirus cases. If they can, the over-flow hospital will not be needed after all.
