The spread of the coronvirus is showing signs of slowing across the state of Texas.

Texas reported 3,899 new coronavirus cases yesterday and a 'Positivity Rate' of nine percent. And that's good news!

Dallas County reported 250 new positive cases on Thursday, and only one additional case from backlogged cases earlier this summer. The county also reported 8 deaths.

Tarrant County reported 227 new cases and 2 deaths.

Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley is urging area residents to keep taking all the necessary precautions against the coronavirus over the Labor Day Weekend.

The first major spike in local COVID-19 cases was reported after officials said too many people let down their guard over Memorial Day Weekend, and another uptick was recorded after the Fourth of July.

Denton County confirmed 82 new cases. And Collin County reported 79 new positive COVID-19 cases.
