Dallas City Councilman Chad West has a goal.  His mission is to find housing for every homeless veteran in the city.

West is an US Army veteran.  Elected to represent Oak Cliff last year, he chairs the city's Housing and Homelessness Solutions Committee.

West said the Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance in 2019 exceeded a goal of finding homes for 100 homeless North Texas veterans in 100 days.  And now, building on existing partnerships, he wants to take the effort to the next level.

West said as many as 400 veterans are homeless on the streets of Dallas.  He said, "By the end of 2020, we absolutely should solve homelessness for veterans."

West talked about the plan to accomplish that with KRLD's Chris Sommer. Listen below!
