DALLAS (1080 KRLD)- The Dallas County Health Department is reporting a record 572 new COVID-19 cases for the county, Monday.
In addition, there has been one more death and hospitaizations reported.
The latest victim of the virus is an Irving man in his 40s who had pre-existing health conditions, had been critically ill, but not hospitalized.
This marks the fourth straight day the county has set a new record for cases. Today's tops the 570 cases reported Sunday.
"Today we have our highest number of reported cases of COVID-19 in Dallas County, and this weekend for the first time, our weekend reporting numbers went up. Normally our weekend reporting numbers go way down as some hospitals don’t report," Jenkins said.
