DALLAS (1080 KRLD)-Starting on Thursday, July 2, DFW Airport will require all passengers and customers over the age of two to wear a face covering. Employees of the airport have already been required to wear face masks.
"We're doing everything we can to ensure that everyone who comes to the airport can feel safe and secure," says Bill Begley, Senior Communications and Marketing Manger with DFW Airport.
Begley says the face covering requirement puts the airport in agreement with orders from Dallas and Tarrant Counties. The airport's expansive property lies partly within both counties.
"There's nothing more effective than someone who is aware of what they can do to enhance their own personal protection," says Begley. "People who are diligent in following those CDC guidelines...ensure they're going to be able to have this experience (of coming to the airport) with confidence."
