A North Texas firefighter killed while fighting wildfires in California will have her remains returned home tomorrow.
The body of Diana Jones will arrive back in Cresson tomorrow afternoon, according to officials.
Jones was a member of the volunteer fire department in Cresson, about 30 miles southwest of Fort Worth. She volunteered to help fight the wildfires in California.
Jones was killed there September first. Her family says it is touched and honored by the overwhelming outpouring of support from the community.
There will be a public memorial for Jones on Saturday September 19th at the Granbury Church of Christ. The 63 year old will be laid to rest next to her husband in Marble Falls.
The Cresson fire department announced it's naming a training center in her honor.
