FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - With all the rain lately, the levels at Lake Worth are so high the city has closed it to all recreational use including boats, jet skis, kayaks, canoes and swimming.

Fort Worth marshals closed the ramps yesterday at 5 p.m. and the closure remains in place until further notice.

The city expected the lake to reach an elevation of more than 595 feet last night. At that level, boat wakes could cause flooding in some homes. Plus, some docks could be under water, creating a hazard to navigation.
