Fort Worth is cleaning up and giving back.
The Fort Worth city council has approved a resolution that will allow the city to donate old ,discarded bicycles to local charities.
The city had been auctioning off the old bikes, but they have been piling up at the city's drop off station.
That got Fort Worth dad Daniel Guido thinking. He runs a so called "bike gang" in his neighborhood. It's where a group of families get together and fix up old bikes to donate to kids in need to encourage them to stay active.
Guido got the city to agree to donate the old bikes to qualified non-profit groups on a first come first serve basis.
