HOOD COUNTY (1080 KRLD)- The Hood County Sheriff's Office has found no attempted wrong-doing in one of two cases where strangers approached young kids. The two unrelated cases had prompted the Sheriff's Office to put out an advisory to parents to be vigilant and keep an eye on their kids.

A family had notified authorities after a woman driving a green SUV along White Horse Court stopped and invited two kids, ages 6 and 8, to pet her dog. Those kids notified their parents.

The Hood County Sheriff's Office identified the woman. They say she is 87 years old and is a resident of Hood County, but did not realize her actions could be construed as inappropriate. They say she did not appear to have any bad intentions and the case is simply a misunderstanding.

Investigators are still looking for the driver of a black Chevy El Camino who approached a 4 year old child in a separate case. They're asking anyone with information about that incident on Flamingo Road to contact the Hood County Sheriff's Office at 817-579-3307.
