DALLAS (KRLD) - She was taking out the trash when Lewisville police say she was stabbed by a total stranger.
Police say 18-year-old Guadalupe Buenaventura approached the victim at the end of her driveway, asked her a question and then stabbed her. The woman was able to kick Buenaventura causing him to run off.
He was caught a day later and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. His bond was set at $10,000.
The victim spoke with police and her family says she is breathing on her own and should make a full recovery.
A motive for the attack is still unclear.
