ARLINGTON (1080 KRLD) -  A man's now locked up in Madisonville, about half-way between Dallas and Houston and he's going to be brought to Tarrant County soon to face a murder charge.

Kendell Morris was arrested by State Troopers as he was heading home to Houston.

Investigators believe he drove to Arlington to commit a murder, but they say he got the wrong man.

The victim, Robert Cooley, looked somewhat like the man Morris was looking for.

Arrest documents suggest Morris admitted he was at the apartment complex where Cooley was gunned down but he says he had nothing to do with.
