Police in Mesquite are looking for the driver of a car that struck a pedestrian on Tuesday.
Officers say the driver of a Mercury Grand Marquis deliberately hit someone walking near Samuell Boulevard and S. Town East Boulevard on the afternoon of August 11th before fleeing the scene.
Police say they intend to charge that driver with aggravated assault once the person is identified.
Investigators hope someone will recognize the vehicle, which has a distinctive appearance. The body is mostly silver in color, but the front end is dark blue. The sedan did not have any hubcaps and had paper tags.
Police say the driver was a female who appeared to be in her 30's.
