State Senator Chosen As GOP Nominee For Texas Congressional Seat Race

A Texas state senator was chosen as the GOP nominee for John Ratcliffe's former seat in Congress.

Ratcliffe vacacated the seat to become President Trump's director of national intelligence.State Senator Pat Fallon was picked during a party meeting in Sulphur Springs this weekend. Choosing a nominee fell to a congressional district executive committee because Ratcliffe's confirmation came after the March primary elections.

Fallon he has represented the 30th District in the Texas Senate since 2019. Previously, Fallon was a member of the Texas House of Representatives for District 106.Fallon faces Democrat challenger Russell Foster in November.
