DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Texas Instruments will close the doors on two North Texas semi-conductor plants in the next few years.

The Dallas-based firm made the announcement yesterday on a conference call with financial reporters.

Each employing about 500 workers, the plants in Dallas and Sherman will be closed gradually over the next three-to-five years.
