ARLINGTON (1080 KRLD) - The Texas Department of Transportation will hold a meeting in Arlington Wednesday evening on its plan for the next 30 years.
TxDOT says Texas Transportation Plan 2050 will set long-range goals for the agency.
TxDOT says it is considering options for "all transportation modes," including roads, freight, railroads, mass transit, pedestrians and bicycles.
"The plan will also address some of the state’s biggest transportation challenges including a growing and aging population; urbanization; emerging transportation technologies (such as driverless vehicles); and limited funding," TxDOT wrote in a statement.
The meeting Wednesday runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Transportation Council Meeting Room of the North Central Texas Council of Governments: 616 Six Flags Dr. Arlington, TX 76011
